Rental for season: a good choice

It is a good idea to follow some tips to be sure that everything’s going to be alright.

On vacations, the search for places that are rented for season increases a lot.
In general, this kind of rental is a good choice for people who intend to spend a little longer with their families and friends and they do not want to spend much money.

However, to avoid that your relaxing moments turn into worries, it is imperative to be attentive to some details.

Before renting:
Visit the place to check if the maintenance is ok. Test all equipments to check if they are working.

Make a written list of all the things that are inside the place and ask the owner to sign it.
If it is not possible, ask for as much information as you can from people who have rented the place before.
Ask about location of the place (if it is close to supermarkets, bakeries, hospitals, for example)
Try to know about prices, location and other alternatives in advance.
Prices are higher if it is high season.

Make a deal with the landlord to specify what was agreed orally.
The deal must contain the following information:

Lessor’s name and address:
Address of the building to be rented.
The total amount of money to be paid.
Period
Type and number of accommodations.
Number of people occupying the place.
List of the things inside the place.

During season

Follow all the rules established;
Pay attention to the number of people that may occupy the place;
If you break any item in the place , tell the landlord immediately and replace the damaged object.

After season
Leaving the house, check if everything is the same way you found.
Make a list of everything, make a copy of it and ask the landlord to sign it.

Final considerations:
This type of rental permits the landlord to be responsible for all the expenses agreed at the moment of the deal.

According to the law, this kind of rental is just considered as a season one if it lasts 90 days at most.
Require receipts.
